Come along for an evening of fashion, drawing and finding your own way of making a mark.
Working from fashion imagery from Vogue, Jenny will take you through a series of playful drawing exercises designed to loosen things up and take away the pressure of getting things “right”. You’ll experiment with continuous line, upside-down drawing, angular and curved marks, before playing with composition, cropping and exaggeration to discover the shapes and gestures that bring a fashion image to life.
In the second half, you’ll bring it all together to create your own mixed-media fashion illustration, using line, colour and texture to interpret an image in your own way.
No drawing experience is needed. Just come ready to experiment, try something different and have a bit of fun with it.
About Jenny
Jenny Tarr is a local artist and illustrator whose expressive, line-led work explores identity, clothing and the ways we choose to be seen. Her work uses bold gesture, pattern and colour to capture character rather than perfect likeness, with fashion often providing a starting point for exploring self-expression and individuality.
Alongside her studio practice, Jenny works as a live fashion illustrator and leads creative workshops, helping people draw more freely, experiment with new ways of working and find confidence in their own visual language.

FAQ
Each booking is for one persons making space in our studio. If you are coming with friends, make sure everyone books their own slot just so we have enough space for you.
We do not offer returns or exchanges on items made in our workshops. However, we do offer a 48-hour repair or remake clause - if a piece of jewellery has any problems in the first 48 hours, let us known and one of our staff memebers can help fix it for you.
Made to be lived in, not left in a jewellery box. Wear it often, take it everywhere and let it become part of your everyday life.
Some beads, shells and natural stones may fade slightly with time and wear. We think that’s part of what makes handmade jewellery feel personal.
There is no age requirement to take part in our workshops, but we recommend 10yrs+ because of all the tiny beads we have to choose from.
Any child under the age of 14 should be accompanied by an adult.
