Picture a table covered in beads and charms, good music in the background, something nice to drink and plenty of time to make something with your hands.
Join us at The Island on 29th September for an evening of making, chatting and meeting new people.
Come along with a friend, or come on your own. Maybe you’re new to town and looking to meet some people, or maybe you just fancy an evening doing something a little different. Either way, you’ll have something to make, plenty to talk about and no pressure to be anything other than yourself.
Over the course of the evening, you’ll make two pieces of jewellery:
- One elasticated bracelet
- One piece of jewellery of your choice from another elastic bracelet, a lobster clasp bracelet, a lobster clasp anklet, a necklace, or a pair of earrings.
While you make, there’ll be tea, coffee, matcha or a soft drink included in your ticket to keep you going, plus bowls of nibbles dotted around the workspace for grazing as you make.
And because you’re here, you’ll get 20% off anything you’d like to take home from the shop on the night.

what to expect
New faces, easy conversation
No pressure, no small talk pressure either. You'll be sat alongside other guests who came for the same reason, to meet people, make things, and enjoy a slow evening together.
Tea, treats & good company
Help yourself to tea, coffee, matcha, and soft drinks throughout the evening, plus a grazing board to share as things wind down.
Guidance every step of the way
Never made jewellery before? No problem. Our team will be on hand throughout, showing you the ropes and helping you put your pieces together.
FAQ
Each booking is for one persons making space in our studio. If you are coming with friends, make sure everyone books their own slot just so we have enough space for you.
We do not offer returns or exchanges on items made in our workshops. However, we do offer a 48-hour repair or remake clause - if a piece of jewellery has any problems in the first 48 hours, let us known and one of our staff memebers can help fix it for you.
Made to be lived in, not left in a jewellery box. Wear it often, take it everywhere and let it become part of your everyday life.
Some beads, shells and natural stones may fade slightly with time and wear. We think that’s part of what makes handmade jewellery feel personal.
There is no age requirement to take part in our workshops, but we recommend 10yrs+ because of all the tiny beads we have to choose from.
Any child under the age of 14 should be accompanied by an adult.
