Pelita, Sejiwa & Lestari: A Collection Made Together
We’re so happy to finally share the Pelita, Sejiwa and Lestari designs, created with pro surfer Giada Legati and our brilliant artisan makers in Java.
This collection isn’t just jewellery. It’s about connection, creativity and community, inspired by island life and the people who bring Pineapple Island pieces to life.
From the ocean to the workshop
When Giada travelled to Java to meet Usep, our head of production, she spent time with the makers who handcraft our jewellery. Together, they played with colours, textures and shapes, bringing Giada’s love of the ocean into conversation with the makers’ skill, culture and surroundings.
“I’d like the details to be the gold, maybe red and green,” Giada suggested during the design stage.
These bolder shades were new for us, and we couldn’t wait to see them woven into the pieces. The results feel fresh, vibrant and completely unique to this collaboration.
Handmade with heart
Giada picked out beads and textures that linked to her existing collection but also pushed it in new directions. From there, our artisans styled, shaped and wove each piece, adding their own creative touches along the way.
The colours and patterns reflect two worlds: Giada’s ocean-inspired lifestyle in Bali, and the lush, tropical environment of our makers in Java. Every piece is handmade, carrying the care, time and creativity of the people behind it.
Naming the designs
For the names, Giada chose words that spoke to the spirit of the collaboration:
- Pelita — hope and teamwork
- Sejiwa — unity and connection
- Lestari — everlasting beauty
They felt right from the very start.
A celebration of culture and craft
The collection brings together three designs across nine pieces. It celebrates the shared creativity of Giada and our makers, and the Indonesian culture that inspires them.
We can’t wait for you to see them, wear them, and share in the story behind each piece!
