Why real?

Reason why you need a tent
Carbon Neutral
We're thrilled to share that every order you place on our website is now carbon neutral, creating a positive impact as we contribute to charities like Grassroots Carbon and Mast Reforestation.

Our Pineapple Island team is on a sustainability mission, with each member trained to be a superhero in reducing our carbon footprint. And that's not all — we're sparking a 'cycle or walk to work' movement to ditch the car and embrace a greener commute.
Eco Packaging
We've ditched plastic jewelry packaging for ECOPLAS, a cassava-based biodegradable material. Plus, when you get a package from us, it's wrapped up in recycled or biodegradable materials, even the tags!

And because we're all about reducing waste, we've rolled out a reusable gift bag collection for those special gifting seasons.

Even our wholesale orders are in on the eco-action! We're recycling cardboard boxes to cut down on waste. Don't be surprised if your Pineapple Island parcel arrives with a few random labels or markings — the outside might be unique, but inside, our top-notch products remain the same.
Materials
We're in the midst of a product revolution with a product audit that is not just a routine check; it's a bold move to infuse more sustainability and ditch plastic from our products and packaging.

By the end of 2024, get ready for a display of information on each product page. We're talking full-on details about where our materials come from. It's not just a description; it's a journey into the heart of our products. Stay tuned for a shopping experience that's not just stylish but also ethically groundbreaking!
Ethical Policy
At the heart of our journey lies the vibrant connection we share with our skilled artisans in Bali. Trust is our cornerstone, and we're not just saying it — we're proving it.

We go the extra mile with external audits and when it comes to employment, we're all about choice and fairness. Every job is freely chosen with fair working hours, and our wages meet the national legal standard. Because when it comes to crafting something special, it's not just about the product; it's about the incredible hands that bring it to life.
Charity Collaborations
We're always on the lookout for charities that resonate with our values, and our latest collaboration is with Project Seagrass. From November 24th to 27th, we're donating £1 from each order to support their cause. Learn more at www.projectseagrass.org.

But that's not all! In May 2023, we launched our Know Your Locals Campaign — a collection crafted from 100% recycled plastic. 50% of all sales from this collection go straight to Surfers Against Sewage, making your purchase more impactful. Changes in the Warehouse
We've just dialed up our eco-game by installing solar panels at our head office and warehouse. We're soaking up the sun and turning it into pure, clean energy.

We're champions at recycling cardboard, wood, and plastic, constantly upping our waste management game with the wisdom of Mairin, our environmental consultant.

We've also said goodbye to single-use plastic as we encourage our staff to reduce their use of single-use plastic on breaks by providing kitchen utensils and crockery to use throughout the day.

“We hope to expand into the fashion world as a mindful brand, recognised for doing things in a conscious and considerate way.”
