Boardmasters 2023!

We are back and better then ever!

This is our 11th year of participating in the amazing Boardmaster festival (yeah, you read that right, our 11th time! To say we are fans of this festival might be a slight understatement...) Each year has truly been an incredible experience and this year was no different.

There were so many highlights from the weekend to talk about; the first one that comes to mind was how amazing it was to watch the surfing competitions! They were so impressive to watch and they really capture the spirit of the festival.

Another highlight was visiting the other stalls. We set up our stall in the Fistral beach shopping village where we organised our surf style products for all you guys to browse and enjoy, because who dosen’t love a good old shopping spree at a festival? It is a great way to bring home an item that will carry these great memories with you forever, even more if you buy several to share with your friends! And there was definitely no shortage of goodies to buy, with other stalls such as Booby Buckets, Toms Trunks, Invent Sports, Drop Clothing, Poison Oak, Merve Swim, Lifestyle 365 and Bear Essentials selling everything and anything you would need from hats, swimwear, accessories, lifestyle necessities and clothing. Tucca Swim was one of our favorites. It is a swimwear brand designed by two sisters Chloe and Helaina and the swimwear is created from reused nylon waste, so instead of the product clogging up the sea it is turned into something beautiful for us to wear.

Also, we can’t discuss Boardmasters without reminiscing about the face painting we did! At our store, alongside selling our exclusive handmade products, we used biodegradable glitter on ourselves and our customers because how on earth can you go to a festival and leave unscathed by glitter? It was such a fun way to get to know our customers, and everyone looked amazing! However, that is not all that we did. We wanted to really treat our customers, therefore we decided to (drumroll please...) have a raffle, where there would be five lucky winners who would win £200 worth of products from Pineapple Island!

Last but not least, it made us so happy to see everyone enjoying our products. We are so proud of what we do at Pineapple Island so to see you guys enjoy it as much as we do was the ultimate highlight of our weekend. Our major bestsellers were the Livadi Cowrie Shell Choker Necklace, our ring collection, Pdang Pearl necklaces, new in clothing and we even tested out our new wave project products which will be coming soon! The whole weekend was a blast from start to finish and we want to thank everyone who came to see us. It was an incredible experience and we can’t wait to repeat it again next year, hopefully we’ll see you there!
